Play Foods
They say children who are introduced to pretend play foods early on not only gain an early sense of healthy eating habits, but it also helps in the development of self esteem and good body image. Children who associate good food with good times are more likely to eat healthier and exercise. They are also more likely to have high self esteem and good social skills. Of course a toy cannot instill these traits into your child on their own. What they can do is help promote the opportunity for you to engage your child in health awareness through role and pretend play. This is where good body image can come into play by learning about eating in moderation. You can still enjoy the "sweet" foods of life when you eat healthy, eat in moderation and exercise.
